Serving Our Congregation

We are blessed to have Rev. Nathaniel Jensen and Emma Jensen serving our congregation.

The Rev. Nathaniel and Emma Jensen serve the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Nathaniel is pastor of Kaiserslautern Evangelical Lutheran Church, which serves U.S. military members stationed in the area as well as other English speakers. In addition, Nathaniel works with the Synod’s partner church in Germany to proclaim the Gospel to non-English speakers, and he serves as a mentor to seminary students throughout the region, especially those located in the Balkans and along the Mediterranean.

Nathaniel was born in St. Louis, Mo., and his home congregation is Peace Lutheran Church, St. Louis. He received a bachelor’s degree in German and Theological Languages from Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, Wis. (CUW), and a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading and birding.

Emma is from Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., and her home congregation is St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, Sault Ste. Marie. She received a bachelor’s degree in Parish Music (including organ and violin) from CUW, which she puts to good use at the congregation in Kaiserslautern. She also studied Theological Languages. Emma previously served as parish music director at St. John Amelith Lutheran Church and School in Bay City, Mich. In her free time, Emma enjoys music, reading, baking and hiking.
