As a mission congregation of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, we believe, teach and confess that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and that it is the sole source and norm of our faith and doctrine. We are “confessional” because we believe that the Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as contained in The Book of Concord are the correct interpretation and presentation of the Bible.
Our statements of faith as found in the Book of Concord include, firstly, the three ecumenical creeds of the ancient church:
- The Apostles’ Creed
- The Nicene Creed
- The Athanasian Creed
And secondly, the confessional documents of the Lutheran Church from the time of the Reformation:
- The Augsburg Confession
- The Apology of the Augsburg Confession
- The Smalcald Articles
- The Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope
- The Small and Large Catechisms of Dr. Martin Luther
- The Formula of Concord
